State Fair

We went to the Georgia State Fair Wednesday! It was a blast. The kids had a great time and were on their very best behavior...it was a bad day for the Supernanny lady that wanted us to cast for the show...we told them we had perfect children, and it was proven by their behavior today. I'm sure they found some lucky family to be on the show that day, but it wasn't going to be ours. I was very proud of them. James got turned away from a ride or two for his height (unfortunately they got my genes their) and he didn't get upset or cry, he just asked if he could do a different ride while Addison did that one.

It was perfect weather, it was a relaxing event and I am so thankful that we were able to take our kids. What a blessing it is to have The Lord teaching us how to parent our children, without Him we would be terrible parents.

Addison and James got behind a little boy with muscular dystrophy in one of the "rides," it was a little obstacle course that involved climbing, and walking and sliding....the boy was slower then most kids his age due to his illness, and our kids were so very patient with him. Waiting patiently for him to climb the rope ladder before taking their turns, staying back from him while he was climbing the stairs. His parents eventually told the little boy to let our kids go ahead of him, which he did despite us saying not to worry about it, but it was so nice to see how sweet and compassionate our kids were to this sweet little boy with a disorder that made it difficult for him to get around. What a blessing our children are, truly!

Thank You Lord for Wisdom in parenting and discipline, Thank You for great children who are learning a foundation of love, compassion and kindness to all of Your people without judgements. May they continue this Love for ever.

Adam's favorite thing to eat at the fair....TURKEY LEGS!! he was very excited about them.
